Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

I thought it was only appropriate to start this blog with the face that continues to be an everyday occurrence in our life. She is so "high" on life right now, that she just runs around making the world a brighter place. hehe. Anyways, this was Sunday when we had a "dusting" of snow. I thought she might enjoy it, so I got her suited up and we went out in the cold. She didn't seem to mind it at all, so we spent a nice chunk of our afternoon out there. We swung and then went for a walk around the back yard and then the neighborhood.
So like I mentioned earlier, everything above was Sunday. Now this was on Monday:
I have to say, Zoe wasn't as enthusiastic about this amount of snow. Every time she fell, she couldn't get herself back, so she got mad. Hopefully she'll get use to it!!!

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays!!!
Todd and I really enjoyed our Holiday season this year. We got a lot of family time in, and for the first time we really decorated too!! To start off, Zoe and I spent as much time outside as we could. She and I anticipated a white winter, but have yet had one. Here are a couple pictures of us outside. You can't quite see the facial expression in this picture, but no worries there are tons to follow that will show this new fun face. After retreating to the inside, we had all of our friends over to celebrate. There really aren't any pictures, so you'll just have to use your imagination on this one.
Then we made it home to Arkansas!!! My whole family got together and we all stayed at my parents. I think we all agree that it went really well and that no one actually wanted to kill anybody!! These are a couple of pictures from Christmas day.

This one was taken after we found out what the, "blue sea cumber" did.
We then proceeded to make this face to everything.
I mean everything!
Let's see, this year Zoe got a slinky,a basketball,a vacuum cleaner,
and a key board,
After all of the excitement for the day, all the kids, including Mimi, ventured to the couch for a movie. If you notice, Zoe is making the fun new face here as well.

On our one big outing, we went downtown to the "Square" and the girls and James got to ride some horses. The girls also got to ride a camel, but we didn't manage to get a photo of that.

Zoe decided to just supervise during all of this, but had a great time!
When we got home that evening, she decided it would also be fun to help clean while just wearing a diaper.
Over all, it has been a great year and Todd and I continue to feel blessed with lots of love and family!

Hadley turns 1

Sunday morning is my morning to sleep in, so Todd gets up with Zoe and has breakfast and watches the food network. When I made my debut, they, the "food network," were featuring pancakes and I decided they looked good. I quickly threw some pancake mix together and we all enjoyed some yummy blueberry pancakes. As you can tell, Zoe really loved them! After naps, we got the pleasure of going to one of my best friends daughter's 1st birthdays!!!
Elizabeth gave Zoe a "Birthday" plate for her first birthday, so we returned the gift by getting Hadley one. Hadley didn't quite get to enjoy it till Zoe had inhaled a ton of "smokies," but I think she liked it.
I can also say, she loved her cake!!!
The funniest thing about the cake was the little surprise that came for Elizabeth on Monday. She said Hadley had a very pink poop!!!! She worked her way through it and finally realized it was the icing that Hadley had eaten tons of on Sunday!
On a side note, Zoe had her 18 month appointment Monday afternoon. New stats:
weight: 21.8 ounces (15%)
length: 33 1/8 inches (90%)
Head: 36 3/4 inches (<3%)>
She is a tall and lean kid!!

Chocolate Pretzel

Todd got me a couple of treats last night to finish off the long week. Zoe just happen to find those this afternoon and started munching away. After convincing her to eat dinner, take a bath and then put on some pj's, she got to finish it up! She loved it!!

November

So November came and went very quickly for us. I was finishing up orientation for work and we had a number of family members that came to visit us. We spent a lot of time prepping for Thanksgiving and then it was over. These are a couple pics of Todd and Zoe mowing the yard: Then Zoe spent some time vacuuming:

And then, we made the bird. It was a beautiful bird in my eyes, and it was really good:

Update

I don't have any new pictures that are worth looking at because Zoe has figured out that she can see herself on the camera after a picture is taken. She pretty much sees the camera and comes running at you to see the new picture. So instead of new pictures, I'm just going to tell you about her and what she's up to.

Zoe is now saying: Mama and Dada

She knows what a dog, sheep, cow and cat say.

We are working on verbalizing Hi and Bye. She pretty much has Hi down and then just says "B," for bye.

She knows where her nose, teeth and toes are and we almost have our tummy down.

She signs the words: please, help, eat, drink, more and brush teeth.

She had her first ear infection 2 weeks ago and did really well with that. She was sleeping great, but kept running fevers. We finished some antibiotics and she is, "good as new!"

I will try and get some pictures here in the next couple of days!

Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!
For Halloween, Zoe started her day out in a little outfit that the "Wenecks," of Fairfield sent us. She looked super cute! We then changed her into our Tinkerbell costume to meet her good friends at the Zoo!!! This was her first time at the Zoo and she absolutely loved it. Everything said, "BAAAAA," at first and then she'd look at the animal and realize that wasn't quite the right sound.

Some how we didn't manage to get a great picture of her in it, but she did look super cute!! Our friends dressed up as a snow pea and a lady bug. They looked super cute too!
These are the mommies and babies!

And then last but not least, Us!!

Happy Halloween!
