The Hayward gene

My family has this wonderful gene that we turn really red when we get hot. I've noticed that Zoe does this.
Today we went to the park to have a picnic with some good friends and then to play, and we hadn't been playing for long, and I noticed that Zoe was turning redder by the second!!

The American Meal

Todd and I had the all "American" meal Friday night: hamburger, fries and then some ice cream. We thought we'd share the wonderful meal with Zoe the next night. She seemed to really enjoy it!!!

15 Month Check Up

Well Zoe continues to be an amazing kiddo. She is so much fun and has really made this parenting thing a pretty easy experience. Don't get me wrong, we've had our moments, but she still is really fun and easy going.

We had her 15 Month check up yesterday and here are the new stats of our very small bubbey:

wt: 19 lbs. 13 ounces (10%) ht: 31 inches (70%) head cir: 16 3/4 (3%) I guess we will spend our life on the smaller side, but as Dr. Sleighmaker said, she fits the right side of America's statistics. I.E. she's on the charts, but she's just not on the "norm" for the American society now a days!

Teething

On Wednesday's, my good friend Elizabeth and I ride to work together. It has been a great time for us to just chat and catch up and ignore the rush hour traffic. Today the topic was Lovey's. Her daughter is 8 months old so she is trying to get her to love on one object. I told her the only advice I had for her was to get an object that she could have multiples of. Like Zoe's lovey, we have 2 of. This comes in handy when she's teething and decides to take it into the bath...The lovey received it's first bath in the tub and then was promptly placed in the washing machine. Luckily the other lovey was in the dryer waiting to be loved on. It's always handy to have a back up lovey!!!!

15 Months

Zoe turned 15 months on Sunday, so her Daddy got up with her and thought she deserved a special treat......
He took her PJ's and all to Lamars which serve some of the best doughnuts in town. She had a doughnut with white icing and sprinkles. She seemed to really enjoy it!!

What a Day

Zoe woke up this morning at 7:45 and it was 54 degrees outside. It was an amazing way to start the morning off. We went down stairs had some breakfast together and then went out to play. It was beautiful. Since it was a little chiller than normal, we put off our original plans to go to the farm and instead, ran some errands and then had Uncle Johnny over for lunch.
After a great nap, we headed to Deanna Rose's Farm to see some animals. This was my first time there as well as Zoe's. I've been wanting to go for a while, but this was the first day that it stayed comfortable all day to enjoy really being outside.

I thought Zoe would be jumping at the opportunity to pat the cows, but she was a little hesitant. I kind of had to prompt her to pat them. This was not he case with the goats.
After the goats, we headed over to the horses. Zoe really loved looking at them. She kept mooing at them. It was really cute!
This last picture is just of this ugly turkey that was not very nice. He had his feather's all ruffled up and would kind of charge you. He was in a cage, but he was a little intimidating.
