Good Parenting!

Saturday was a big day and was only rightly celebrated with a little drinking. To make sure we had the right supplies, we went to the liquor store with Zoe. There she continually asked for a drink and then when we got home, she carried my wine around for a while. She really wanted in but wasn't able to get that far! "ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!! GO KU!!!!"

Dog Park Here we come

On Saturday we took the dogs to the dog park and were joined by the Hendricks. We were having an excellent time but then this dog decided that Zoe might be a toy of some sort and wouldn't leave us alone. So we wondered to the park area to let the kids play. Uncle Brian jumped right in to play with everyone. He wandered up the play set to help the kids, but Zoe was ready to take him down.

Get out of my way!!

We entertained Uncle Brian for a while and then resorted to our norm.....the swing.
Once lunch was close, we enjoyed a quick ride back to the cars in our fancy little wagon.

Chatting with Mimi

Zoe loves talking on the phone so who do we call????? Should we call Daddy or Mimi??? Usually we call Mimi so we don't disturb daddy, and on this particular day, we called her. I thought this picture was great, she has her serious face on. She must have thought she was telling Mimi something very important, like that she needed to come sooner than this weekend!!!

Who's Teaching Who

I'm not sure if everyone knows, but Shelley and Brian have moved to KC!!!! Just kidding, they are here for the month! I have absolutely loved having them here. They are amazing friends and I want our daughter to know exactly who they are. So on that note, I have been spending as much time with them as I can. Ethan has definitely made an impact on Zoe. In the last 2 weeks she has picked up on a number of words. It could totally be a coincidence, but I think it's Ethan. He is so advanced in his vocabulary and I think Zoe has picked up on that. On the other hand, Zoe is a little more mobile or aggressive than Ethan is. I think she did this first, but Ethan quickly picked up on it. Here they are both climbing the side of the banister. I think this is an accident waiting to happen, but they were having fun, so do you stop them or not?

Admitting Defeat

On Tuesday, I decided to put Zoe in her overalls because I just love them. Well I later learned that I don't love them anymore. The buttons for some reason have decided that they don't want to stay closed, so anytime Zoe moves, they pop open. It was a pain.
As you can see, Zoe didn't let this stop her from having any fun. She ran around in the back yard with them flapping in the wind. After nap I thought we might go to the park, so I did go ahead and put her in some pants so the whole world didn't have to see her skinny little legs hanging out.

Yogurt

Zoe use to eat yogurt all the time and then decided it wasn't for her anymore. Well this last week has been quite an interesting week to say the least. Poor thing has 7 teeth coming through all at the same time, so I began searching for ideas of cold food. I thought I would try getting her flavored yogurt instead of me putting fruit in it, and as you can see from below, it was a success!
As for the "moments," we are still working on those.

Ethan comes for a sleep over

Ethan and Shelley came and stayed with us 2 weekends ago. I didn't get a ton of pictures, but I thought these were the best anyways. Ethan found Zoe's wagon and I encouraged Zoe to get in. It didn't last long, but they sure were cute!!

Thanks for the ride Ethan!!!!
