Zoe finds herself

Todd and Zoe spent the weekend together becuase I had to write a paper and study for a test. When I had a moment, I'd catch some pictures of the two of them.The rest of these are of her looking at herself in the mirror. This is her new talent. It's quite cute. She giggles and cooes at herself.

First time in the Stroller

Normally when we go for our walks Zoe gets the pleasure of riding in the sling, but for some reason tonight, we decided to try out the stroller. She did fairly well. We couldn't decide if she liked it or not. She kind of tensed up a couple of times, but then would settle down. These are just a couple of pictures of her getting out of her bath. She continues to really enjoy her bath time with daddy. She just kicks and kicks while he bathes her. It's really cute!!

When she was born, she had this full head of hair, but has slowly lost some. You can't really tell from this picture. We just thought it was cute!And last but not least, I love her little chunky thighs. I think of her as so small, but when I see these pictures, I realize how much she has filled out.

I know, I know

I know, I know. I haven't been very good about blogging lately, but in my defense, I started school last week, so we have had a busy 2 weeks!!!

Fabulous Saturday

We had a great day today!! We got up and had breakfast and then I went back to bed for 2 hours, it was fabulous, THANK YOU Daddy!! Then Todd got his hair cut, I got my toes done, and then we spent the afternoon listening to music and just hanging out. It was a very nice Saturday.

Zoe end of week 9

One thing that Zoe does that I will cherish forever, is when you hold her, she grabs a hold of your shirt like she never wants to let you go. It is so sweet and I feel exactly the same way.Todd's best friend from childhood, Dana, gave us a "Zoe" robe. We thought we'd try it out tonight and see how it worked. She liked it a lot!! The pictures weren't the best, but if you can see, it is a personalized robe with a little pink Zoe written across it.

Last but certainly not least

Zoe had a big day today, she got to meet the Hensley crew!!! Todd's Sister, Sally, and her family weren't able to make it to Zoe's naming ceremony due to some sick kiddo's so they got to meet Zoe today!!! Todd and I thought it would only be appropriate if Zoe were at her best, so we started the day off with a bath. We then joined Daddy outside for a moment to "awe" at his work. Todd spent the morning mowing our yard in the hot, hot sun! Yeah daddy!! We then ventured out to Todd's parents so this joyous event could get started. This first picture is of Todd and our youngest nephew on this side Cooper. He looks a lot like his mommy and his Uncle Todd.These are a couple of pictures of Sally and Brennan meeting Zoe!!We are so pleased to have Sally and Brennan's crew here for the week!!!

Polka Dots

My good friend Emily gave Zoe this dress because she knows how much I love red!!! It does look a little like "Minnie mouse," but Zoe looks super adorable in it.

2 month apt.

Zoe had her 2 month appointment yesterday, so she had to get three shots. She turned a color of red I have never seen her before but was then fine. She slept most of the day which unfortunately made for a somewhat long night. (For all of my new mom friends, I recommend Tylenol ever 4 hours all day long!!!)

She weighed in at 9 lbs. 14.2 ounces, 25th percentile, Her length is 22 3/4, which is 75th percentile, and Her head circumference is 13 3/4, which is is the 3rd percentile (She apparently has a small head.) This is a picture of her huge thighs.She has moved into size 1 diapers and is definitely now in 0 to 3 month clothes. She now is able to wear all those beautiful clothes we received from our friends!

Holding On

Zoe was having her pants changed when she grabbed for a rattle that was sitting there just waiting to be played with. I'm sure it was a total coincidence, but I thought it was cool! Thanks for the great toy Jennifer!!

Shelley and Brian Visit

We had such an amazing day yesterday. It started off with a fabulous rain, hence the rain drops on my beautiful roses, Zoe woke up with a huge smile on her face, and then we were showered with lots of friends!!!

Shelley and Brian, our long time friends, came into town for the first time with their new son Ethan. Just in case you don't know, Ethan was born 3 days after Zoe and has to at least weigh 2 or 3 pounds more than her. He is absolutely adorable, but I find it so funny how different in size they are.

These are pics of Ethan hanging out on Zoe's changing table. I really wish we'd put the two of them on there together so we could have seen the difference. Maybe next time!

And the rest of these are our fabulous friends who stopped by to say hello and maybe have a glass of wine. I don't have a picture of all of them, but I have a feeling, we will be doing this again soon.
This is one of our soon to be mom's!! Sarah and Steve are expecting their first baby in January!
She obviously knows what she's doing seems how Zoe is just smiling away at her.
This is also another expecting mom!!! Elizabeth and Brad are also due in January
This guy on the other hand has just come from looking at wedding reception sites, so he's just practicing for down the road!!
We had such a great time with all of our friends and hope to see them all soon!!
