Monitoring
Todd got off early today and thought it might be the right time to mow the yard. Zoe agreed with him, but thought he needed some monitoring. She stood at the window and watched him and only had to pull out her whip a couple of times.
As a little reward for helping daddy do such a wonderful job, Zoe got the privilege of having filet, pesto risotto fritters and some delicious strawberries. She was very happy with her meal as was I with the yard. Thank you daddy!!!!
Dishwasher
Zoe has become extremely helpful around the house. As you can see on a previous blog, she knows how to use the lysol and has now concurred taking the silverware out of the dishwasher!

Good Friends
This weekend one of my good sorority sisters got married so a couple of girls and their families came into town. We took advantage of this occasion and a number of us got together for lunch on Saturday. Most of us have kids ranging from 18 months to 4 months.
We had such a fabulous time all together and the kids did great together. Lots of laughter, good food and just a lot of fun!!! Love you all and we need to do this again soon.
Shelley and Ethan who is 11 months old, and finally, all the DG girls just being silly!!!
These are just a couple other pictures from the day:

Vampire
Zoe decided to become a vampire today and she was so parched that she inhaled her food so it dripped down her chin onto her pj's.
Then she was so full but didn't want to waste anything so she just spread it around.

The right choice
This morning Zoe had the choice between her first bite of challah and pancakes, and what did she choose???? Challah of course. She took it down like there was no tomorrow!!!

Life with Music!!
As most of you know, my family is pretty much centered around music. Two of us play the piano, one of us plays the cello, and we all sing. It's just been an amazing part of our lives. As a gift from my parents when we moved, we got the family piano. I apparently am the only one that still plays it when I go home, so they thought we might get some use out of it. I am proud to say that I have played it everyday and some one else has taken an interest in it!!
What the....
Zoe went to bed last night in a world that she felt like she'd accomplished many things in. She knew how to open the cabinets and get whatever she wanted, she knew where her trusty friends the tuber ware were and just in case she wanted a little snack, she knew how to get that too. But when she woke up this morning, life was a little different...
(look how hard she is pulling on this one, she's on her little toes trying.)
Todd installed the cabinet locks so that we weren't constantly picking up after her. I know she was having fun, but I felt like I was picking up whatever all the time. She went around to all the cabinets all day trying to open them. I felt like she kept looking at me saying, "What the .... Mommy."

Graduation!!!!!
Well the world has officially got a little easier, well kind of. On Friday night, I graduated from Saint Lukes College of Nursing. It has been a long road to get to were I am now, but luckily, I have made some great friends a long the way.
Best of luck to everyone!!!

Random Day
I thought this was just a really cute picture of Zoe enjoying her bagel and cream cheese. If you keep reading, you will see how cute she really is....
Since we've moved into the new house, we've really tried to not put the toilet paper actually on the roll and to make sure the door to the bathroom gets closed. Obviously that didn't happen this morning:

By the time I put the camera down, she almost had the whole roll off. I rolled a bunch of it back and then gave up and just put a pill of semi used toilet paper on the bathroom counter for our guests to use!!!

Like Mother, like Daughter
As most of you know, I love for my environment to be clean so I spend a good amount of my time cleaning. As I was loading the dishwasher today, Zoe decided to help out a little. She pulled out the Lysol and went looking for some where that needed to be cleaned!!
11 Months
Zoe has continued to explore her new surroundings by checking out every little nook and cranny. These are just a couple pics of her on her 11 month birthday discovering a cabinet that might hold something very fascinating....

Big Play Date
This week one of my good friends from the sorority came into town with her son who is 3 days younger than Zoe. I'm sure you will all recognize her because she's been on my post before, but just in case, this is Shelley and her son Ethan with Zoe
Zoe and Ethan played really well together. Zoe shared her toys,
and even let Aunt Elizabeth hold her!!!
Shelley on the other hand took a lot of pleasure out of holding the litter ones. I think someone might have a little itch. hehe
These are the two little ones. Hadley is on the left and on the right is Katelyn.
We had such a great time with everyone. Hopefully we'll do it again soon!!!

Where to Start
Well, we officially moved this last weekend and have been slowly finishing the unpacking. Zoe has been really helpful when it comes to unpacking....
She also has been an excellent helper when it comes to unpacking what you've already put away....
Oh let's see, I feel like there is so much to tell everyone. Well as for Zoe, she is walking all over the place and loving it, she has adjusted really well in the new house and she just continues to be an amazing kiddo. As for me, I accepted a job in the PACU at Children's Mercy and am extremely excited about it. It will be an amazing learning experience and I will be able to be home every night to put Zoe down and have dinner with Todd. Todd is doing well at work and is now home pretty much every night at 5:45!!! We are in a great place!!!!
Just in case you can't tell, she is removing stuff from the cabinets that I had just finished organizing. These are just a couple of other pics that have been taken over the last week:
