Camera

Todd and I have been impatiently waiting for our birthday present, so luckily it came early this year. As an early present, my parents gave us a wonderful camera to take spectacular pictures with. Here are a couple of pictures that we've taken so far. Oh and on a side note, yesterday was Thursday, so as an update, Zoe now weights 9 lbs. 9 ounces!!!

Blessing Weekend

Zoe and I made the trek down to Fayetteville all by ourselves last Friday, and I have to say, she did beautifully. We stopped in the little town of Jasper, Missouri and had a little late lunch and then continued on our way. She really did pretty well!! Todd came down on Saturday to join us. She was all smiles when she saw her daddy: We made this special trip to have Lowell, my priest at Saint Paul's, say a little blessing for our family to grow in love and happiness. It was just wonderful!
This is my Fairy godmother Beth. She made Zoe's special outfit for the day.
The rest of the pictures are just randoms taken over the weekend

Zoe has really been working on her hands. She really enjoys it for a while and then she wants her pacifier.

At the end of Zoe's 6th week, she is weighing in at 9 lbs even. She is getting so big so fast. These are just some random pictures that I've taken over the last week.

I think she looks so long in this picture. We won't officially measure her again till the first of August.
If you notice, Todd once again has all of his kiddo's hanging out with him. Carter is kind of hiding behind the bookcase, but he's there and getting a little loven from dad.
Zoe has started enjoying her bath time much more than when we started!!!! Tonight she was all smiles at daddy. I tried to get it on video, but she apparently doesn't like having video taken of her.

Weight Check

Sorry there aren't any pictures, but I'll post some new ones soon.
Just wanted to update everyone on how big our little girl is getting. I've been going to this Breastfeeding support group every Thursday and part of the activities is to weigh your kiddo. We do lots of other things, but the most important reason for us going is to see how much we've accomplished over the last week. Today she weighted in at 8 lbs. 11 ounces. She is so big!!
Hope everyone is doing well!

Bath

Obviously Zoe has been bathed multiple times since the hospital, we've just never used our tub before. This is her in the tub for the first time. I don't know if she enjoyed it or not, but she did ok. It was kind of slippery, so she kind of slid around a lot. We'll try again soon!! One thing Zoe really does like is looking at the quilt that hangs above her changing table. She loves looking at all the colors and having the chance to kick her legs around.
And last but not least, to keep up with the bottle, Todd got to put Zoe down last night!! We have started trying to do a night routine and part of it is a feeding, so on Sunday, Todd gets to do the process.

Meeting Ethan

Zoe went on her first road trip yesterday down to Joplin to meet her future husband Ethan Mathew Hendricks. Shelley and Brian, Ethan's parents, have been some of our best friends for a while now and they had their son 3 days after Zoe was born. Here they are meeting one another for the first time:Todd also had a first, he was left with Zoe by himself for the first time. He did a fabulous job!! hehe...she slept in Ethan's swing and he watched baseball. I think he also took a little cat nap if I heard correctly!

Carter stealing from Zoe

I thought this was funny. Carter, our Carine Terrier, has his lovey that he absolutely loves and has to have with him a good bit of the time and Zoe has one that is of the same fabric. I caught Carter trying to take the blanket of Zoe's off of her because he thought it was his and he wasn't going to share. I didn't get a picture of him actually doing it, but here's the blanket that may cause some problems down the road.

We had our one month appointment yesterday so we got our first set of percentiles. So far she is measuring in at 8 lbs. 3 oz and 25th%, 20 3/4 inches long and 30th%, and last but not least, her head circumference is 13 1/2 or 3%. They were very impressed with her head control and thought that she looked fabulous. Go Zoe!!!
Post pictures later!

One month

Well we've made it to a month!!!! Zoe officially turns a month old today and I have to say, I think we both love her more now than ever. She has started to stay awake a little more and really loves to just lay and stretch out her legs. She seems to be a pretty happy child and hasn't given us to much grief. We've had a couple long nights, but together have made it through them.

Today we introduced the bottle and she did really well. Here's a picture of the proud daddy getting to feed his baby for the first time.
Here are a couple random pictures that have been taken over the last week.

This last one was during the week. Todd apparently had had a long day at work, so everyone curled up on the couch and took a little snooze. If you look closely, Carter has his lovey, Mallory has her spot on Todd's lap, and Zoe is just sleeping in her daddy's arms. It was really cute!!

Redo: Naming Ceremony

Redo....for some reason my last post really messed up my blog.
We've had a lot of first's in the last 2 weeks. We meet most of our aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins: This is sir with his two newest grandchildren, James and Zoe

We hung out with our cousins:

Notice Jame's bow tie. He wore this in honor of Zoe's naming ceremony and for Sir!!

We had our first and only naming ceremony.

And last but not least.....Uncle Mark changed his first diaper!!!!
Hope everyone is doing well!!
