She's a Maniac, Maniac on the Floor

After naps yesterday, I was feeling a little goofy and thought Zoe needed to try out her leg warmers. When she put them on, I thought to finish off the somewhat 80's outfit, she needed her big bow. They are actually really cute pictures:

Thanks Auntie Jocelyn for the great present!

Start of School

School started last Monday so Zoe has been doing a little more play time by her self when I'm home. She does this very well even though half the time she does kind of end up on the floor on her side.
While I'm away, luckily we have found this amazing helper. Joanie joined our family in October and has been an amazing addition. She does just beautifully with Zoe and Zoe absolutely loves her. On Wednesday I came home to Joanie and Zoe listening to French music! hehe!!! I really have no idea what I would do without her. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Purple Saturday

Yesterday Zoe decided to wear her new purple outfit that she got from Mimi for Christmas. I thought she made a wise choice and to reinforce her decision, I thought it might be fun to have a purple dinner. She had BEETS!!!! and she devoured them. I have to admit, we did get a little nervous they were going to stain her face, but they didn't.

She now officially likes: green peas, sweet potatoes, BEETS, carrots and banana's. I made a couple new things yesterday that we will be introducing over the next couple of days. I'll let you know how that goes.

My family might be the only one that gets this, but for Sir: "Beet, Beet, Sugar, Beet, Beet!!!"

7 Months old

Well, 2 days ago Zoe turned 7 months old. I think I'm still trying to wrap my brain around that one. These last 7 months have just flown by, but have been so amazing at the same time. Let's see, Zoe is sitting on her own, she is getting up once during the night to eat, she sings with you when she hears music, and she's just had a lot of firsts in the last month. Anyways, Todd and I think she is an amazing kid and have had so much fun with her.
These two pictures of her are from yesterday of her eating her homemade green peas which she continues to love:

And yes, her hair is just as crazy as it's always been!!!

Homemade is better

I don't have any pictures, but I just wanted to share with everyone this pleasing moment. When we were in Fayetteville, Zoe tried Gerber's green peas and instantly made a horrific face. Since we've been home, I've been trying out a couple of recipes of my own so that we can save money and so I can feel like I'm contributing to our child's brain development....Anyways, I made my own green peas today and fed her some and it was almost like she said, "yum" after she ate them. It was a very proud moment for myself!!!

Hope everyone is well and that they have a wonderful New Year!!!!

Christmas in Fayetteville

As many of you know, my family has been in Fayetteville for the last week with my parents and my sister Jocelyn and her family. We had such a spectacular time!!! Lots of family time, great food, and of course good wine. Here are some pics we took over the week: Zoe took her first bath with her cousin James this trip. They were really cute together! This is the tree before the girls decorated it,and this is the tree after the girls decorated it and after Santa Claus visited. This is Zoe's first Jayhawk!!!! Joanie gave her some really cute socks and a little Jayhawk. This wonderful present was from Jocelyn and her crew. She thought Zoe needed some toys that make a lot of noise, but really what she was doing was getting me back for all of my presents over the last 5 yearsThis is also a present from Auntie Jocelyn. She has really started knitting so she made Zoe some leg warmers. They are super cute and I will get a better picture of Zoe in them.
This is Zoe trying green peas for the first time. It was quite hilarious because she really wouldn't swallow them. One time down only nine more to go.
She also got to try these things called "Mum Mum's." They are rice cakes for babies that Zoe apparently really liked.

Home again Home again, Jiggety Jig

Zoe and I made it home on Friday after a very long flight. We were suppose to have a 3 1/2 hour flight and instead it was 4 1/2. Zoe did great, but I was definitely ready for it to be over. They said it was due to the wind in Boston, but who knows.....Here are a couple of pictures of the few hours we had before we both crashed. We did stay awake long enough to celebrate the last night of Hanukkah:
