Zoe officially turned one week old yesterday!!! We are all still doing great and learning as we go. She luckily has made the process very easy!! These are a couple of pictures that were taken yesterday and the day before.

This last one is a picture of the proud daddy!! that is doing unbelievably with all of this. Todd has been an amazing support system for me through all of this. He has stepped up and done things I wouldn't have even thought of. He continues to surprise me with his new look on life!!!! Got to say, "I love this man with all my heart!"

I've been instructed to add some pictures to the blog, so these are from over the last 3 days!!! Some of them are our last morning in the hospital, our ride home, and then just randoms.

Things are going really well, knock on wood!!! She is feeding at 10:30pm and then at 2 am and then not again till 7 am. It's been fabulous, but I didn't say that.
We had our first doctors appointment on Tuesday and they are pleased with everything. She was born at 6 lbs. 6 oz and when we left the hospital we were at 5 lbs. 15 oz and now we are 6 lbs. 1 oz.. Her coloring is great, so they didn't stick her again to check on her bilirubin.
The dogs are doing really well with her. Carter says hi once a day and Mallory gives her kisses through out the day. We are trying to keep the kisses to a 3 second period and Mallory is doing pretty well. She just really loves this kiddo as we do as well!!
Um...My mom has been with us since last Thursday and has been an amazing help. She made us some great meals and has helped us in so many other ways. Thank you mom!!!!
Also want to Thank everyone else again!! We have some amazing friends and family. I don't know how we would have done any of this without them. Thank you.
love you all,

Day 2

So we made it through last night with flying colors and so far have had a great day!! Zoe is nursing like a champ and creating some great diapers for daddy to change. Here are some better pictures of the little girl:

Can you believe all of that dark hair?!! Oh and there is a little correction, I was told by certain people that she was 6 lbs 1 ounce when in real life she was 6 lbs. 6 ounces and 17 inches long.

We are all doing really well and want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers! love you all, lghw

Zoe arrives

Well we got a little surprise yesterday when I started having contractions and then got admitted to the hospital. We arrived yesterday at 4ish to find out that I had progressed a little and just enough to have them see if we might stay. They made us walk for an hour to see if we'd go anymore. Well I dilated a cm in one hour so we thought things might go fast. Zoe on the other hand had some plans of her own.
After 23 hours of labor, our little girl showed her little face a week early!!!!
Miss Zoe made her appearance today at 11:29 am weighing in at 6 pounds 1 ounce and 17 inches long. She has dark brown hair like her daddy and has blue eyes. We are both hoping that the blues eyes stay, but I guess we'll see in 6 months.
Everyone is doing great!! The three of us are extremely happy with how everything went. We will put better pictures up tomorrow.

Week 38

Well we have reached week 38 and are doing really well. Todd and I are feeling more prepared everyday. My contribution to getting ready today was to get the dogs hair cut. We cut their hair some where around every 3 months and for this appointment, we told them to go short so maybe we could make it through the summer without another appointment!!

Carter wasn't into posing as much as Mallory was, but I think you can see him!!!

38 Weeks

I had my doctor's appointment on Tuesday this week instead of Monday and had to go way far away to go to it. I opted to not use that office again. Any who, nothing much has changed. I'm measuring at 35 weeks instead of 38 due to the fact that she has dropped. Todd and I were laughing at how far she has dropped. I can definitely feel her in the pelvis area. I'm 100% effaced and still just 1 cm dilated.

We've almost finished the room. We just have a couple things to hang up and we need to put down the carpet, but it's looking really cute. Once it is done, I'll post pictures.

Hope everyone is well and will have more news on Monday!

Monday, May 11, 2009

Well we've reached 35 weeks and still going strong. We had an appointment today and we got to see the soon to be Zoe. My doctor decided to do an ultrasound because I'm measuring a little big. I assumed it was because I'm so short, but she wanted to make sure that really was the case. The tech did the ultrasound and found her chatting to her self and measuring in at 5 lbs. 5 oz., which as most of you know, doesn't mean anything. The doctor then measured me in at 36 weeks, 80% effaced, and dilated to 1 cm. She is in great position so when it's go time we should be good to go.

Other great news, I'm done with my semester and Todd is doing unbelievably at work!!! We have finished out the semester with a bang!!!

Sorry for no pictures, none of the ultrasound pictures are that clear.
lots of love,
L & T
