Weeee!!

On Sunday it was so warm that we were able to make it to the park. It was wonderful!!! Zoe just ran around like she was in heaven. Last summer we moved out to the Overland Park area and found this great park right down the street. We visited this park quite frequently. This trip made it very obvious how much she's grown up since last year. She was able to do pretty much everything on her own. She'd climb all the way to the top and then slide down all by herself.
Pretty much the whole way down she says, "weeeeee!!!" It's super cute.

What's really important

We started the day acting like the world was a fabulous place. Then we decided that we weren't happy about the fact that our entire mouth is inflamed and kind of hurts, so we started breaking down a little. I thought to solve the problem, I would let her go through the box of toys we received from Auntie Mongo yesterday. You might say, "Why is Auntie Mongo sending Zoe toys and no one else." Well let's see, the easiest explanation is that "We," as in Todd and I, are my entire families storage unit. Anyways, back to Zoe. I thought this box would bring her a little joy so I let her open it. To say the least, it brought a lot of joy. 2 pacifiers were close to the top and they happen to be the first thing we found.

Oh the world was a little better for a few minutes!!!

Round 2

Zoe was quickly approaching the limits of how far you can let your hair go before it's considered, "untamed!!"
So on Saturday, we made a quick trip to Sugar and Spice to get our hair did.

Now just in case you don't remember the story about how our first trial went, I'll do a quick recap. Let's see...It didn't go very well, I ended up holding her the whole time, and she cried just a bit. But no worries, this time she did fabulous!!!! She sat in her chair and played with all the buttons on her car. At one point, she even asked for her snack and just sat and ate that. All I can say is, "There is hope!!!"

A Couple of Jackets

Before heading off to Chicago for the weekend, I organized the coat closet to see what my options were. Zoe decided that she might try on her options.... Just in case you can't tell, she has her fleece pj's, a down vest and a rain coat. She pranced around in this attire for a while and enjoyed every minute of it.
The last part of her outfit was my coffee cup. She found it up stairs and walked around with it going, "yum!!!!" It was quite cute!

Dinner with the Obringers

Last Saturday night we had dinner with our friends the Obringers. We traveled all the way out to their house on 160th in the "boon docks!!!" We had an amazing dinner and a really good time. Zoe and the kids played pretty much the whole time. They seem to really enjoy themselves. These pictures are of her riding their scooters. She couldn't do it herself obviously, so Todd and I got the pleasure of scooting her around on it.
This last picture is of all the kids!!
And yes, they do have 4 kids!!!! I don't know how Cat does it, and she looks great too! Super mom!

Purple Ball

Zoe and I went to "Parent's as Teachers," this morning and then headed to Target. She was doing really well so when we past the balls, I thought why not. If you can't tell by the pictures below, it was a success!
It's exciting that a 2 dollar present brings such fun to some one's life.

Fun times

Elizabeth and I have continued to try to get together every Monday so the kids get some time together. It has been a little work here and there since Zoe is 6 months older and capable of doing just a little bit more than Hadley. She has used poor Hadley as her test doll sometimes, but luckily Hadley is starting to retaliate. Yesterday we had a good date. The girls shared their snacks and then the shared some laughs. For Christmas, Zoe received a Disney Princess push bike which Hadley found and asked to be pushed on. We thought it might be fun to see if Zoe could push Hadley. As you can see, it worked.
They went round and round running into the walls having a wonderful time. I think Zoe was pushing her into the walls on purpose because she would crack up every time.
They had a blast!!!!
