Admitting Defeat

On Tuesday, I decided to put Zoe in her overalls because I just love them. Well I later learned that I don't love them anymore. The buttons for some reason have decided that they don't want to stay closed, so anytime Zoe moves, they pop open. It was a pain.
As you can see, Zoe didn't let this stop her from having any fun. She ran around in the back yard with them flapping in the wind. After nap I thought we might go to the park, so I did go ahead and put her in some pants so the whole world didn't have to see her skinny little legs hanging out.

Yogurt

Zoe use to eat yogurt all the time and then decided it wasn't for her anymore. Well this last week has been quite an interesting week to say the least. Poor thing has 7 teeth coming through all at the same time, so I began searching for ideas of cold food. I thought I would try getting her flavored yogurt instead of me putting fruit in it, and as you can see from below, it was a success!
As for the "moments," we are still working on those.

Ethan comes for a sleep over

Ethan and Shelley came and stayed with us 2 weekends ago. I didn't get a ton of pictures, but I thought these were the best anyways. Ethan found Zoe's wagon and I encouraged Zoe to get in. It didn't last long, but they sure were cute!!

Thanks for the ride Ethan!!!!

Weeee!!

On Sunday it was so warm that we were able to make it to the park. It was wonderful!!! Zoe just ran around like she was in heaven. Last summer we moved out to the Overland Park area and found this great park right down the street. We visited this park quite frequently. This trip made it very obvious how much she's grown up since last year. She was able to do pretty much everything on her own. She'd climb all the way to the top and then slide down all by herself.
Pretty much the whole way down she says, "weeeeee!!!" It's super cute.

What's really important

We started the day acting like the world was a fabulous place. Then we decided that we weren't happy about the fact that our entire mouth is inflamed and kind of hurts, so we started breaking down a little. I thought to solve the problem, I would let her go through the box of toys we received from Auntie Mongo yesterday. You might say, "Why is Auntie Mongo sending Zoe toys and no one else." Well let's see, the easiest explanation is that "We," as in Todd and I, are my entire families storage unit. Anyways, back to Zoe. I thought this box would bring her a little joy so I let her open it. To say the least, it brought a lot of joy. 2 pacifiers were close to the top and they happen to be the first thing we found.

Oh the world was a little better for a few minutes!!!

Round 2

Zoe was quickly approaching the limits of how far you can let your hair go before it's considered, "untamed!!"
So on Saturday, we made a quick trip to Sugar and Spice to get our hair did.

Now just in case you don't remember the story about how our first trial went, I'll do a quick recap. Let's see...It didn't go very well, I ended up holding her the whole time, and she cried just a bit. But no worries, this time she did fabulous!!!! She sat in her chair and played with all the buttons on her car. At one point, she even asked for her snack and just sat and ate that. All I can say is, "There is hope!!!"

A Couple of Jackets

Before heading off to Chicago for the weekend, I organized the coat closet to see what my options were. Zoe decided that she might try on her options.... Just in case you can't tell, she has her fleece pj's, a down vest and a rain coat. She pranced around in this attire for a while and enjoyed every minute of it.
The last part of her outfit was my coffee cup. She found it up stairs and walked around with it going, "yum!!!!" It was quite cute!
