Monitoring
Todd got off early today and thought it might be the right time to mow the yard. Zoe agreed with him, but thought he needed some monitoring. She stood at the window and watched him and only had to pull out her whip a couple of times.
As a little reward for helping daddy do such a wonderful job, Zoe got the privilege of having filet, pesto risotto fritters and some delicious strawberries. She was very happy with her meal as was I with the yard. Thank you daddy!!!!
Dishwasher
Zoe has become extremely helpful around the house. As you can see on a previous blog, she knows how to use the lysol and has now concurred taking the silverware out of the dishwasher!

Good Friends
This weekend one of my good sorority sisters got married so a couple of girls and their families came into town. We took advantage of this occasion and a number of us got together for lunch on Saturday. Most of us have kids ranging from 18 months to 4 months.
We had such a fabulous time all together and the kids did great together. Lots of laughter, good food and just a lot of fun!!! Love you all and we need to do this again soon.
Shelley and Ethan who is 11 months old, and finally, all the DG girls just being silly!!!
These are just a couple other pictures from the day:
Uncle Troy holding Zoe
Miss Katelyn Anderson who is 4 months old
Elizabeth and her little one Hadley who is 5 months old

Vampire
Zoe decided to become a vampire today and she was so parched that she inhaled her food so it dripped down her chin onto her pj's.
Then she was so full but didn't want to waste anything so she just spread it around.

The right choice
This morning Zoe had the choice between her first bite of challah and pancakes, and what did she choose???? Challah of course. She took it down like there was no tomorrow!!!

Life with Music!!
As most of you know, my family is pretty much centered around music. Two of us play the piano, one of us plays the cello, and we all sing. It's just been an amazing part of our lives. As a gift from my parents when we moved, we got the family piano. I apparently am the only one that still plays it when I go home, so they thought we might get some use out of it. I am proud to say that I have played it everyday and some one else has taken an interest in it!!
What the....
Zoe went to bed last night in a world that she felt like she'd accomplished many things in. She knew how to open the cabinets and get whatever she wanted, she knew where her trusty friends the tuber ware were and just in case she wanted a little snack, she knew how to get that too. But when she woke up this morning, life was a little different...
(look how hard she is pulling on this one, she's on her little toes trying.)
Todd installed the cabinet locks so that we weren't constantly picking up after her. I know she was having fun, but I felt like I was picking up whatever all the time. She went around to all the cabinets all day trying to open them. I felt like she kept looking at me saying, "What the .... Mommy."
